How was your weekend? Ours was lovely, thanks. Here in the U.S. it was Memorial Day on Monday -- the official start of summer. A three day weekend full of beer, bbq, good tunes, and it finally stopped raining. Have we ever mentioned we make a killer potato salad? It's true!

But we digress. The holiday hasn't kept us from bringing you the latest finds from the music blogs, however, and we've got another rockin' show for you this week. We've got a bruised and jostled gig report from Hercules & Love Affair's first-ever show (also check out Abbey's photos and video from the show); brand new sounds from Brooklyn and Edinburgh; a return to form from one of the best UK groups of the last 20 years; and another worthy "Nord du Jour."
