Happy mid-May, everyone. We hope you all bought flowers for your mom over the weekend, or took her out to brunch, or did something else nice for Mother's Day. We bought our mom tickets to see My Bloody Valentine's upcoming New York reunion show. We're pretty sure she'll like that, though we didn't actually call yesterday to find out.

We reckon she's going to like this brand new episode of Blog Fresh, too! It features neo-shoegaze from Sweden and Seattle, shouty sing-a-longs from Philly, the return of Portishead, and the 10 most blogged-about bands of the week courtesy of our official chart. Not to mention some of our favorite (and most trusted) music blogs. But then, our mom tends to like just about everything we do. Except for drinking the milk out of the carton.
