IT'S WHAT THE MUSIC BLOGS LISTEN TO!

OK, we're going to keep this one short, as we just got back from the South by Southwest music festival where we saw somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 bands. And that was just in line for tacos! Seriously, though, it was quite a week of music, 90-degree heat, and free beer and finger-foods. Plus, we got to hang with many of the Blog Fresh Posse regulars, including Cubik Musik, Covert Curiosity, Sound on the Sound, The Music Slut, Sound Bites and others.

One of our favorite bands we saw during the week was Manchester's The Answering Machine who were also kind enough to present this week's Blog Fresh Chart countdown -- live (on tape) from the festivities! They're gonna be big, we tell you, big!

We'll have plenty of post-SXSW action on next week's show (we may need 'til then to remember everything that happened). But you'll definitely enjoy this week's show in the meantime. It includes the return of Jon the Beef from Mancunian blog Black Country Grammar, plus visits from Song by Toad (Scotland), The Finest Kiss (Seattle), and Chocolate Bobka (NY/NJ), as well as new music from Jealous Girlfriends and the Breeders!
