Musica Caliente que es Blog Fresco!

Hey everyone. Well, it's SxSW week (maybe you've heard? Maybe you're tired of hearing about it already?) and the entire Blog Fresh crew is down in Austin, Texas, to revel in all the music, Tex Mex and beer we can handle.

We are excited to see so many members of the Blog Fresh Posse in the flesh, and also stoked to be part of several blogger-organized events. The first is Above the Radar, which happens on Thursday afternoon. It's put together by our pals Cubik Musik, Covert Curiosity, Sonic Itch Music and Seattle's Sound on the Sound (on the show this week talking about Thee Emergency--the extra E is for Energy--who are playing Above the Radar). We're also involved with the After the Jump crew, a charity organization of 20 or so New York blogs (including The Modern Age, Jinners, Earfarm, and Punk Photo [home to your Blog Fresh host Abbey]) that give all proceeds from their shows to fund music education programs in New York schools. Pretty cool, right? The ATJ folks are putting on a whopping four events during the fest, three of which are free and open to the public. And we've got Music Slut contributor (and ATJ legal man) Jed on the show this week to tell us about superb Manchester band The Answering Machine, who play their Saturday party.

Anyway, this week's show isn't all about activities in Austin. London's Music Like Dirt stops by to tell us about an exclusive Crimea remix he's got on his site; and Sydney blog (and Dan Bejar expert) Oceans Never Listen talks Destroyer; and Brad of Bradley's Almanac offers up another great Boston band (well, Cape Cod, but close enough).

We'll also take a look at the ten most hyped bands around the blogosphere this week with the official Blog Fresh Chart (featuring a spin of the long-awaited new Notwist single), and we'll let the little waves of guilty-pleasure lap at our our ankles with brand new music from the soft-rockin' Swedes, Pacific.

This is what we call an A List show, people. Anyway, some last-minute packing to do, so excuse us for now and enjoy the show. Queso awaits!
