IT'S WHAT THE MUSIC BLOGS ARE LISTENING TO!

So which 3-D concert movie did you go see this weekend -- U2 or Hannah Montana? You didn't go to either? Neither did we. We did watch the Giants beat the Patriots (to the embarrassment of one Blog Fresh staffer) and attended Hot Chip's killer show here in New York on Saturday.

We can't say that this week's episode is quite as exciting as either of those events but it comes pretty close. (And we think it's better than wearing a pair of cardboard glasses in a movie theater.) We talk with Jeff from Heart on a Stick who'll tell us how his Music Bloggregate became the Hype Machine 2007 Music Blog Zeitgeist, and he also talk about one of Brooklyn's wildest live bands.

We also add a new blog to our Posse: Instrumental Analysis, our first correspondent from the Baltimore/D.C. area. Plus: Lost in Your Inbox gives us the lowdown on Thao Nguyen; Yer Mam! introduces us to musical wunderkind Kelley Polar; and our host Abbey (happy birthday, by the way) gets down with OMG Michelle. And the Blog Fresh Chart, of course, your authoritative rundown of the stuff everyone was blogging about this week. Vampire Weekend are the Chart Selection this week, a little band who just aren't getting any exposure. We're just trying to remedy that. Ahem.
